Apex Trainer ("we," "us," or "our") is a sports training application developed by Apex Trainer LLC. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the Apex Trainer mobile application ("App").
2. Information We Collect
Information you provide directly:
- Name, email address, and account credentials (used to create and manage your account)
- Athletic profile: age, gender (optional), height, weight, sports, positions, and skill level (used to personalize your training programs)
- Training goals, schedules, and any notes you add during program setup, such as injuries or equipment limits (used to shape your programs)
- Session feedback: difficulty ratings, energy levels, skipped drills, and which areas of your body a session worked (used to adapt your future sessions)
- Messages you send to the AI coach and the in-app support assistant
Information collected automatically:
- Subscription status and expiration date (used to manage access to paid features)
- A push notification token and your device's timezone (used to deliver training reminders at the right local time, if notifications are enabled)
- Device type and operating system version (used for compatibility purposes)
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your information solely to:
- Create and manage your account
- Generate personalized AI training programs and sessions
- Adapt your training based on your feedback and progress
- Track your athletic progress over time
- Manage subscription access
- Send you training-related notifications (if enabled)
- Improve and maintain the App
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
4. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services to operate the App. Each processes only the data needed for its function:
- Supabase — account authentication and data storage. Supabase Privacy Policy
- OpenAI — powers the AI coach. Your athletic profile, training goals, session feedback, and coach messages are sent to OpenAI's API to generate your programs, sessions, and coaching responses. Under OpenAI's API policy, this data is not used to train their models. OpenAI Privacy Policy

5. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored securely using Supabase's infrastructure, with access controls that restrict your data to your account alone. We implement industry-standard measures to protect your information against unauthorized access, alteration, or disclosure. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.
6. Data Retention and Account Deletion
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You can permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time directly in the App: Profile tab → Info → Delete Account. Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone. You may also request deletion by contacting us at the email below; we will process such requests within 30 days. Note that deleting your account does not cancel an active Apple subscription — subscriptions are managed through your Apple ID settings.
7. Children's Privacy
Apex Trainer is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
8. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate information
- Delete your account and data (in-app, or by request)
- Opt out of notifications at any time via your device settings

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the date at the top of this policy. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
